AADHAAR Card for NRIs and Foreigners

AADHAAR card is available free of cost to all citizen and residents of India, including NRIs and resident foreign nationals, regardless of the their citizenship. The procedure and document requirements for NRIs and Foreigners are same, as for any other resident of India. If any NRI or a Foreigner wish to apply for the AADHAAR card, they have to be physically present at any of the AADHAAR card center in India.

Nearly everyone on the site is asking the same questions and they are in very similar situation. They cannot go to India in the near future to apply for the Aadhar cars in Person. The Indian authority are threatening to close eveyones accounts unless they link them to Aadhar card they do not have. Even if they can some how go and apply, the it can take 90 days to process. looks like everyone of my fellow applicants are trapped and Risk loosing the Money in their account. Hi, this is Kalyan from Dubai, I applied aadhaar card in January nnn7 but I didn't receive it. Now a days I am in Dubai and I got the email on February 26 nnn7 that my aadhaar card has been granted... I got the message via email.... How to download the card? Because when I try to open the pdf file which is attached in email that require password and I don't have it, when I applied card I was in India and I gave my mobile no that is Indian Sim no so now a days no body using that number....... Hi, I m residing currently in Canada from past 6 yrs. Now Govt is issuing an order to get Aadhar card for everybody. Its still not clear whether its compulsory for us.
