AADHAAR Card for NRIs and Foreigners

AADHAAR card is available free of cost to all citizen and residents of India, including NRIs and resident foreign nationals, regardless of the their citizenship. The procedure and document requirements for NRIs and Foreigners are same, as for any other resident of India. If any NRI or a Foreigner wish to apply for the AADHAAR card, they have to be physically present at any of the AADHAAR card center in India.

Hi i am an Australian citizen living in Australia and have got OCI. All the links suggest we can apply for aadhar card online but we got to be physically present in person to complete the formalities to near by center..which may not be possible as me being in Australia..is there any other way to complete the formalities and obtain a aadhaar card by completing the entire process via online similar to PLAN card application...please help me and some of other people who are in similar situation.thank you in advance .

Hello sir, I'm an Indian currently residing in Dubai, U.A.E. I, along with my wife had gone to Ayush center (In Kerala) to enroll for aadhar card during my last visit to india. We were told that the enrollment period is over and we would have to wait for a couple of months. I spoke to Aadhaar officer on phone for eligibility of OCI Holder (NRI, American citizen) for applying for Aadhaar card. I was told that NRI must have minimum stay of nnn days in India before applying for Aaadhar card in person. If this is the basic requirement, why aadhaar website do not mention this criteria on its website? Can someone flash a light on such a critical requirement, if its true.
