The UIDAI has set up a Contact Centre for the residents, registrars and enrollment agencies of India. All enrolling residents are given a printed acknowledgement form with a unique Enrollment Number. Residents can enquire about their enrollment status through any of the below communication channel of the contact centre.

As an NRI do I need to provide my overseas address or indian address. Also do we submit other overseas documents e.g. driving licence, etc. Also for child is passport sufficient as parental proof.

Hare Krishna Namaste Please Help I am a foreigner residing in India on a visa. I have lived several years here. My current sim card I have had for 3 years. I don't want to lose that number but am told it has to be linked to an Aadhaar number. I don't have an Aadhaar number and am online trying to work out what an Aadhaar card is and who can have one. Some say foreigners can have them. I have found where the centres are near me. Via online anyway. I don't know if I need an Aadhaar card but I need to verify my sim card by 31st October. Also I have to leave India on 25th and return after 3 weeks. So I need to do something urgently. It would be too difficult for me to return without any sim card. Please help. What do I do?
