AADHAAR Card for NRIs and Foreigners

AADHAAR card is available free of cost to all citizen and residents of India, including NRIs and resident foreign nationals, regardless of the their citizenship. The procedure and document requirements for NRIs and Foreigners are same, as for any other resident of India. If any NRI or a Foreigner wish to apply for the AADHAAR card, they have to be physically present at any of the AADHAAR card center in India.

@Lalit Abichandani. I have a similar issue. I understand one has to be physically present in India with an Indian address in order to qualify for Adhar. Given that there are lots of senior citizens from India who live with their children overseas. Besides if the Indian govt is opening up Aadhar to NRIs etc. why can't it fix its system to accept foreign postal codes.

Dear Sir / Maam, I received an aadhar card 3 years back when i was a resident Indian. Since then I moved abroad and became an NRI due to the fact that I spent most of my time there. Now, the address in my aadhar card is no longer valid as my parents have moved from that location to another city. I am 86 year old and wheelchair bound. I am a U.S.Citizen since the last about 10 years and living in the USA. I am also afflicted with other mental and physical problems that I cannot undertake any journey by air. I am a Central Govt pensioner for the last about 30 years and continue to be so.
