AADHAAR Card Link to Axis Bank Account Seeding

You can link AADHAAR Card to Axis Bank account online through the Axis Bank's portal or offline by visiting the Axis Bank branch where you hold your savings account or using Axis bank's ATM or by sending SMS in a particular format to a specific number provided by Axis bank. All Government benefits will now be deposited directly in your Axis bank account that is linked to AADHAAR Card. To avail DBT (direct benefit transfer), AADHAAR Card link to Axis Bank Account is required.

To get Government benefits, such as subsidy for LPG gas connection, you will need these 3 things:

LPG connection in your own name
An Axis savings bank account in your own name
Your own AADHAAR Card

Link AADHAAR Card to Axis Bank account online:

To link AADHAAR Card to Bank account online, logon to the Axis Bank's NetBanking portal, www.axisbank.com, using your username and password credentials. Once logged in, look for "Link your AADHAAR Number" or "AADHAAR Card Seeding" or "Link AADHAAR Card to Bank account" or "Update your AADHAAR number with Bank account" or similar option under "Service Requests" or "Customer Service" option. The AADHAAR Card Seeding option page will ask to choose your Axis savings account number where you like to link the AADHAAR Card, enter your 12 digit AADHAAR Card number to link to your Axis bank account, your email address and/or your mobile phone number. Once you double check your entered details and submit the form, the entered details will be updated in the Axis bank system and will be later verified by the Axis bank manually. Once the verification is complete Axis bank will notify you through the confirmation email and/or SMS on the given email address and/or mobile phone number.

Link AADHAAR Card to Axis Bank account offline:

If you do not have access to NetBanking for your Axis bank account, you can apply for AADHAAR Card link to Axis Bank account seeding offline by visiting the Axis Bank branch where you hold your Axis savings account. You will need to carry your original AADHAAR Card and a XEROX copy of AADHAAR Card. Although not required, but carry your Axis Bank account proof (such as passbook and/or cheque book) to be on safe side to prove it's your own Axis Bank account. At the Axis bank you will be asked to fill up AADHAAR Card Seeding form. You can also download this AADHAAR Card To Bank account linking form online from the downloads section of Axis bank website here: Form 1 or from the downloads section of Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas website here: Form 1. You can also get this form at the Axis Bank branch or from your LPG distributor. Fill the AADHAAR Card Bank linking form, double check for any mistakes, attach the photocopy of your AADHAAR Card and hand it over to the Axis bank representative. The Axis Bank officer might ask for the original AADHAAR Card for cross verification and will return you the lower portion receipt of the AADHAAR Card seeding form back after verification for completeness. The AADHAAR Card link to Bank account request form will be later verified by the Axis bank manually. Once the verification is complete you will be notified through the confirmation email and/or SMS on the given email address and/or mobile phone number.

Link AADHAAR Card to Axis Bank account using ATM:

To the best of our knowledge Axis bank does not allows AADHAAR Card seeding to bank account using ATM, but if you want to give it a shot please follow the steps mentioned here. To link AADHAAR Card to Axis Bank account using ATM, go to Axis bank's nearby ATM. After swiping your Axis bank ATM card and entering the ATM PIN, look for "Link your AADHAAR Number" or "AADHAAR Card Seeding" or "Link AADHAAR Card to Bank account" or "Update your AADHAAR number with Bank account" or "AADHAAR Registration" or similar option under "Service Requests" or "Customer Service" option. The AADHAAR Card Seeding option screen will prompt you to select your Axis bank account and then ask to enter your 12 digit AADHAAR Card number to link to your Axis bank account. The entered details will be updated in the Axis bank system and will be later verified by the Axis bank manually. Once the verification is complete you will be notified through the confirmation email and/or SMS on the given email address and/or mobile phone number.

Link AADHAAR Card to Axis Bank account using SMS:

Axis bank have facility to link AADHAAR Card to Axis bank account using SMS. For AADHAAR Card seeding using SMS, you have to have your mobile number registered with your Axis bank account. If your mobile number is registered with the Axis bank account, you can send an SMS to the Axis bank's service request phone number, 5676782 in the following format Aadhaar <Aadhaar No.>AC <last 6 digits of A/C no.>. Your Axis bank account number and AADHAAR Card number are sent in the same message for linking. The sent SMS details will be updated in the Axis bank system and will be later verified by the Axis bank manually. Once the verification is complete you will be notified through the confirmation email and/or SMS on the given email address and/or mobile phone number.
