If you have recently moved to a new address or if there are mistake(s) in the address, you can apply for AADHAAR card change of address / address correction online as well as through post.
PLEASE NOTE: Having a mobile phone number is necessary to apply for change of address / address correction online. The online update portal will send an OTP (One Time Pin) to your mobile phone number.

Maximum 4 AADHAAR card change of address / address correction requests are allowed.
For change of address / address correction in AADHAAR card, a self attested Proof of Address document is required.
For kids, who may not have any address proof, parent/guardian's Proof of Address document is accepted.
Clearly write your AADHAAR number on all document copies.
Your name must be clearly written below the signatures/thumbprint when self attesting the Proof of Address document.
For children below five years, parent/guardian can fill and sign/provide thumbprint in the AADHAAR Card change request form and supporting document copies.

You can apply for AADHAAR card change of address / address correction online, by following these 3 easy steps:
Submit your AADHAAR card change of address / address correction request online
Upload supporting self attested Proof of Address document (soft copy) for the change of address online
You will be required to submit the AADHAAR card change of address / address correction request in English as well as your local language (except numeric values such as pincode, which needs to be entered only in English).
Once the change of address / address correction request is submitted you will be given your AADHAAR card Update Request Number. Save this number to track change of address / address correction request status check and future references. Your AADHAAR card change request information will be verified by UIDAI representative and upon successful validation, the changes will be reflected in your AADHAAR card and the same will be communicated to you.

I have given the URN no. as requested by UIDAI against my complaint thrice but no action from them. At least they can give the reason for the delay. It is very disgusting. I don't know how to proceed further.

My mother and I have our permanent address of Delhi on our UID card. My mother purchased a flat in Mumbai in August'16. I had been living on rent in Mumbai for the last 10 years and now I am living in my mother's flat. I would like to change my permanent address on my Aadhar card from Delhi to Mumbai. Since the flat is bought in my mothers name and is not rented/leased to me, can I submit the following documents as proof of residence :
1) Letter of authorisation from my mother to allow me to stay in her flat.
2) House registration papers and gas connection in my mothers name
3) My mothers Aadhar card copy
4) My Aadhar card and passport copy ( which states my mothers name)
Will I require nay other documents to change my address on my Aadhar card ?

https://uidai.gov.in/ --> select Update Aadhaar Details (Online) link.. but once I click on update aadhar details link it takes me to a page which after few seconds says the site can not be displayed. There are no proxy setting but it is due to some technical issue from your side. You must be aware that a lot of people will access this portal then you must have some efficient server which can take the heavy user load without failing. Thanks!
